Krzysztof Grzybacz, Żurawie
Krzysztof Grzybacz Żurawie, 2025 Oil on canvas · 200 × 160 cm

Grzybacz is a painter of close looking. He takes the things most people walk straight past, flowers, plants, a corner of the studio, and paints them slowly enough that colour and light become the real subject. The surface stays quiet, almost shy, and that quiet is the point. He is among the most closely watched Polish painters of his generation, with a solo show opening at Pace in London in 2026.

The painter

Krzysztof Grzybacz (born 1993) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He paints tender, narrative pictures that fold together intimacy, fairy tale and a little folklore. He has shown at X Museum in Beijing and Harkawik in New York, and a solo exhibition opens at Pace in London in 2026.
